這是Ivan今天發給Fansite的新郵件:
QUOTE:
Some publications have reported on what might appear to be Hellgate's next character class announcement (like 200 of 'em if you really look hard enough).

That's fine. That's them.

And yet, we have not officially announced anything.

Our official reveal of the next faction and most other class details will be in late October / early November as part of a U.S. magazine exclusive. This is because covers are extremely important to independent developers like Flagship. Covers are indicative of popularity, which garners retail attention, which garners publisher / distributor attention, which makes us more money, which ensures we can continue making games / eating / living in places with ceilings. Etcetera.

That's fine. That's us.

So... We got this exclusive. It requires "exclusivity." But... We got unofficial reports that may or may not diminish the importance of our exclusive.

Thus, Flagship is still not officially announcing anything until that magazine hits. It's more important to us, basically.

You all do whatever you want with that.

3rd character class announced? -- Posted by Flux at 5:02 AM

As spotted by Thecla, this thread at the Amazon Basin quotes a blurb about the upcoming HGL comic books that includes a bit of info Flagship probably didn't want released just yet. The quote comes from ComicBookResources.com, and appears to be an official press release type blurb about the upcoming HGL Issue #2 comic (scroll down or search for "hellgate"):

Future London was razed to the ground when the gate separating the human world from the demon world ruptured. Overrun by ungodly and ravenous creatures, the stinking remains of this dead city may hold the key to humanity’s survival—and so the quest for the secret of the Sigil continues! Templar Commander Jessica Sumerisle, Cabalist Crowe Jane, and Demon Hunter Saul Petrus have reluctantly teamed together in the hunt to decipher this arcane symbol. Now exploring an ancient labyrinth under London, they come face-to-face with an ocean of the undead, but the deadliest foe of all is one they least expect!

More interestingly, when you compare the Dark Horse comics site info about Issue #2, you see the exact same blurb, minus the class names. Everything is subject to change over time, and the comic book info probably went out months ago, but this seems like a good bet for the name of the 3rd class.

It's interesting, but does this really matter in the big picture? If you knew "templar" and "cabalist" but nothing about the characters, how many of their skills and play styles would you guess? I don't see that knowing (a possible) name for the 3rd char really tells us anything new, or takes any of the fun out of anticipating future announcements. Better yet, it gives us something new to speculate about.

玩家Thecla發現,在兩個不同網站上發布的同一條關于HGL漫畫書的消息里隱藏著一些細小但卻令人興奮的差別。由www.ComicBookResources.com發布的消息里的三個主角都有職業名稱(見上)。
